It is said that hand embroidery was first used by the royal ladies of Egypt to decorate their dresses. From then on it has been used and utilized in various forms. This type of embroidery can be done on all kinds of things like, ladies wear (including shirts, shawls, scarfs) bedsheets, tableclothes, hand bags, towels and even on leather shoes called Khussas. Multani khussa's are famous for their embroidery and sequence work.
Other crafts of multan includes Blue pottery, and lamps and boxes made by camel skin.
